He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel C. Young and Diana Lynn Pella; his stepfather Donald C. Beer; and his grandparents, Albert, Arlene Young and Gwendolyn Pella.

He is survived by: his siblings, Donald L. Beer (Jennifer) of Freeport and Genesee Beer (Denise) of Sarver; and his nieces, Chelsea Beer of Freeport and Madison Beer of Freeport.
