He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester A. Steffey and Alice W. Steffey (Fink). He is survived by: his children, David Steffey (Kelli) of Pittsburgh, Adam Steffey of Kittanning, Ila Jean Steffey of Kittanning and Gloria Culpepper (Bill) of Del Rio, TX; his brother Jack Steffey (Myrna) of Kittanning; and his former wife Shirley Tomsik (Gray) of Kittanning. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
