With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph George Bernotsky of Kirkwood, Pennsylvania, born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 28, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Bernotsky and Anna Marie Bernotsky (Blewis); his daughter Joanie Bernotsky; and his brother-in-law George Melasecca. He is survived by: his wife Joan Marie Bernotsky (Peterson); his daughters, Laurie Bernotsky (Michael Bray) and Ann Bigler (Jeff); his grandchildren, Abbey, Joel and Jonathan Bigler; and his sister Carol Melasecca.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in celebration of Joe's life may be made to the Solanco Family Life Network, including: Solanco Neighborhood Ministries, Solid Rock, Solanco Strong/Solanco Education Foundation, New Hope, Safe Families/Bethany Christian Services, Quarryville Library and Black Rock Retreat.
