He was predeceased by: his parents, Lionel Richard and Jennie Richard; his former wife Emma Richard; his wife Marilyn Black; and his sister Dorothy Richard.

He is survived by: his sister Loraine Olsen. He is also survived by 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
