It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Joseph Smith III (Kingston, Pennsylvania), born in Forty Fort, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ralph M. Easton Jr., William J. Smith Sr. and Mollie T. Smith; and his father-in-law Jack Goodwin. He is survived by: his wife Maura Smith (Goodwin); his parents, Karen Smith (Easton) and William J. Smith, Jr.; his grandmother Anne Easton; his sister Launi Klinges; his brother-in-law Eugene Klinges Swoyersville (Kiki); his niece Mollie; his mother-in-law Louise Goodwin Szustak; his stepfather-in-law Joe Szustak of Forty Fort; his siblings-in-law, Colleen Aboff and Matt Aboff; his niece Ellie; his nephew Monte of Lloyd Harbor, NY; and his close friend Hunter. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hugh B. Hughes and Son Funeral Home (1044 Wyoming Ave, Forty Fort, PA 18704). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ignatius of Loyola Church (339 N Maple Ave, Kingston, PA 18704).
