It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James A. Gelgot of Kingston, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Mary Morris; his nephew Joseph Gelgot; his friends, George "Buster" Sanko and Henry "Hank" Turchanik; his brothers, Joseph Gelgot (Joanne) of Mountain Top and Gerald "Jerry" Gelgot; his nieces and nephews, Stephen Gelgot (Michele), Stacy Osadchy (Mark), Jerry Gelgot Jr. and Jay Lindsey; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Joseph and Magdalen Gelgot; his friends, Paul and Bob Lehman; his uncle Jimmy; his aunt Margie; and also, Kingston and Monsignor John J. Sempa.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Corpus Christi Parish (605 Luzerne Ave, West Pittston, PA 18643). A committal service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery (612 Mt Olivet Rd, Wyoming, PA 18644).
