It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Bateman (King of Prussia, Pennsylvania), born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 21, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Bateman and Ella Bateman (Beyer); his spouse Sadako Bateman (Tokashiki); and his siblings, Ronald, Gerald, Bruce Bateman and Doris Hastings.

He is survived by: his children, Sharon Romer (John) of Schwenksville, Richard Bateman, Jr. of Media, Joanne Kelly (Jack) of Hatboro and George Bateman of Trappe; his sister Edith Evans of Norristown; and his grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew, Alison, Rebecca and Alex. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
