He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Challingsworth and Zerda Burch Challingsworth; and his brother Burch Challingsworth. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Pichler; his children, Robin Green (Paul) of Temple, TX and Dean Challingsworth (Michele) of Kersey; his grandchildren, Bryan Green, Ashley Stuhldreher (Jason), Kayla Challingsworth (Tony Anders) and Briana Challingsworth (Rylie Poirier); his great grandchild Skylar; and his brothers, Glen Challingsworth (Connie) of Brockport and Vaughn Challingsworth (Diane) of Sanford, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home (371 Main St, Kersey, PA 15846).
