He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Shaffer and Mildred Gilhousen Shaffer; his brothers, Donald Shaffer and Bernard Shaffer; and his brothers-in-law, Darwin Wiles and Dean Spence.
He is survived by: his wife Sara Marjorie Schatz; his daughters, Marjorie Fritz (Nicholas) and Judith Shaffer (Hiram Torres); his grandchildren, Troy Fritz (Libbi), Christa Fritz (Brian), Christopher and Benjamin Torres; his great grandchildren, Zachary and Caslyn; his siblings, Richard Shaffer (Phyllis), Lorraine Wiles, Mary Ann Spence, Nancy Deible (Charlie), Jean Conner (Bob), Joyce Haines (George) and Doris McAnich; and his grandpups, Wyatt and Willow.
In lieu of donations Ray's request was "To always be kind and take care of yourselves and others.".
