It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Wolfel (Kersey, Pennsylvania), born in Saint Marys, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 27, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wolfel and Sabina Hasselman Wolfel; his wife Lois Wolfel; his stepson Gordon VanGorder; and his siblings, Richard, Leander, Gilbert Wolfel, Marlene Carnovale, Louise Walker, Rita Beers, Florence Johnson and Virginia Struble.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Wolfel (Jennifer) of St. Marys and Debra Carte (Dave) of Alabama; his sister Germaine Meyer of St. Marys; and his stepchildren, Sharon Swanson (Rick) of Kersey, Stan VanGorder of Punxsutawney, Eugene VanGorder of Port Allegany and Sandra Urbanik of Nevada. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
