He was predeceased by: his parents, Francesca Avello and Enrico Avello; his wife Mary D. DiPlacido Avello; and his siblings, Hercules Avello and Irma Censurato.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Avello Wood of Wildwood, N. J. and Donna Avello Antonelli (John Antonelli) of Hockessin, DE.; his grandchildren, Olivia "Lia" Burkey of Avondale, Christopher "Chris" Wood of Baltimore, MD. and Richard "Rick" Angelucci Jr. (Liza Angelucci) of Wilmington, DE.; and his great grandchildren, Brittany Gonsalves (Shawn) of Naples, FL., Olivio "Leo" Simpkins, Jacob "Jake" Burkey of Avondale and Austin Bacot of Baltimore, MD..
