He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Johnson, Sr. and Janet Atley Johnson of Kennett Square; his daughter Vannessa Ringgold Remylus; and his brother Gerald L. Johnson. He is survived by: his children, DeAnne Johnson-Butcher of Thorndale, PA and Jay L. Johnson of San Diego, CA.; and his siblings, Richard W. Atley Sr. of Wilmington, DE, William R. Johnson of Downingtown, PA, Cynthia A. Johnson of Kennett Square, PA, Cheryl E. Johnson of Parkesburg, PA and Shelley R. Johnson of Lincoln University, PA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
