He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. and Helen E. Poole Cavanaugh. He is survived by: his spouse Esther Sommers Cavanaugh; his son John F. Cavanaugh III; his wife Karen of Coatesville, PA; his daughters, Esther Brink (Gregory) of Downingtown, PA and Helen Bilinski (Raymond) of Kennett Square; his brother Walter J. Cavanaugh of Philadelphia; and his grandchildren, Catherine, Raymond, Esther and David.
