She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Johnson and Gladys Moore; and her siblings, Cynthia Johnson Graves, Florence Johnson and Heskett Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, Alec Milton, Theresa Milton, Elizabeth Purvis and Lauren Tamar; her grandchildren, Joshua C. Milton and Junesa A. McCoy; and her siblings, Albert Johnson, Robert Johnson, Esther Joseph-Johnson and Arthur Johnson.
