He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Spang and Margaret Spang; his wife Paula Tweed; his sister Nancy Nesselrotte of New Castle, Delaware; his sons, Brian (Heather) of Downers Grove, Illinois and Jeff (Ruth) of Chapel Hill; and his grandchildren, Alexandra, Emily, Paul, Julia and Annika.
