He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Watson and Winnie Graybill Watson; his children, Sheila Watson Knotwell and Kenneth Watson; and his siblings, Jay Watson, Walt Watson and Beatrice Taylor.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia Roark Watson; his children, John F. Watson (Melissa) of Hockessin, DE and Christina Watson of Smyrna, DE; and his grandson Harry Knotwell.
