He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Bud" Young and Genevieve Zeby Young Cyphert; his brothers, Max Young and James Young; and his son-in-law Donald "Flub" Reed.

He is survived by: his children, Belinda "Bea" Reed, Kelly Priester (Hal), Thomas Young (Felicia), Jody Watkins (Bill) and Andrea Young; his grandchildren, Nathan Reed (Jarah), Nick Reed, Dustin Priester, Lyndsie Kriebel (Justin), Sarah Kuba (Seth), Colton Young and Adelynn Gee; his stepgrandchildren, Marc Priester, Bill Priester (Sheena), Jake Wilson (Holly), Johnathan Watkins (Amy), Alexis Watkins and Jesse Watkins; his great grandchildren, Cambrie Priester, Hal Thomas Priester, Brooks Reed and Logan Kuba; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Marcus Priester, Jillian Priester, Valerie Priester, Jossie Wilson, Sierra Watkins, Madison Watkins and Kaden Watkins; his half-sisters, Joni Rudolph (Tim) and Georgia Crawford (Don); and his friend Sanford Powell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
