He was predeceased by: his parents, George Roney and Marie Dadisch Roney; his wife Maryann S. Dietz; and his siblings, Linda Bates and John Shoemaker Wills.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sharyn Roney (Michael Melfi) of Pittsburgh and Michelle Eakin (Clint) of Kennerdell, Four; his grandchildren, Chase, Casey, Mariah and Theresa; his sister Susan Gaeteao (Gary); his brother-in-law Michael Dietz; his close friends, Tony Barbaryka and Angie Visconti; his cousin Richard Miller (Loretta); and also Luke.

Memorials may be made to the Kennerdell Volunteer Fire Dept.
