Mona L. Clark Obituary
Mona L. Clark, 77, of Karthaus, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28. 2024, at her home, after courageously fighting cancer for many years. Born on January 9, 1947, in Pottersdale, she was the daughter of the late Donald W. and Willetta M. (Moore) Wooster.
Mona was a 1964 graduate of West Branch Area High School. She worked as a Riveter for Piper Aircraft for eight years. Upon their closing, she went to work as a waitress at Rees' Truckstop in Snow Shoe. She worked tirelessly for 37 years before retiring. She made many lasting friendships there.
Mona had many interests. Some of her favorites were working in her flower gardens, watching the birds from her swing on her porch, cooking, baking, and puzzles. She was a proud collector of Princess House Figurines. Her family was very important to her and treasured all the time she was able to be with them.
Mona is survived by her son, Orvis E. Clark and his companion, Tracy Jozefick, of Karthaus; two daughters: Vonnie A. Clark-Johnstonbaugh and her husband, Brent, of Bellefonte and Wendy Jo Harter and her husband, Vince, of Karthaus; two grandsons: Christopher Huges and his fiancé, Kasey Whetstine, of Karthaus and Hunter Johnstonbaugh fiancé, Keriann Smith, of Snow Shoe. She is also survived by her two sisters: Charlotte J Wright and her husband, Larry, of Lexington, NC and Sally A. Lucas and her husband, James, of Falls Church, VA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10-11am with a memorial service at 11am on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the Karthaus Christian Missionary Alliance Church with Rev. Joseph Gerhart officiating. The burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Karthaus.
