He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer H. Smith and Mildred Smith (Krupelak) of LeContes Mills; his former wife Catherine "Kitty" Owens; his brother-in-law Richard Shirey; and his mother-in-law Dorothy Albert.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Smith (Albert); his former wife Sandra Smith; his children, Robert "Bob" Smith-Walker (Vince White), Christopher Smith (Nikki), Hile "Butchie" Smith (Peggy), Tyler Smith (Kelly) and Amy Jo King (Donald); his stepdaughter Melissa Leigey; his grandchildren, Khorey, Josalyne, Gentry, Logan, Skyler, Riley, Shalyn, Madison, Noviah, Lyken and Aspen; his great grandchildren, Aria, Cooper, Luke and Lilah; and his siblings, Ronald Smith, Terry Smith (Pat Robinson), Randy Smith (Sharon) and Diaan "Diney" Shirey. He is also survived by four stepsons and two stepdaughters.
