She was predeceased by: her parents, McClelland K. Cousins and Adda May Roudebush Cousins; her former husband George J. Ion; her husband Howard E. Barger; her son Georgie K. Ion; and her siblings, Armeida McElravy, Henrietta McElravy, Eleanor Cousins and McClelland "Bub".
She is survived by: her children, Bishop Alan J. Ion (Jackie) of Parker, Tracy J. Ion (Barbara E.) of Karns City and Sonya J. Bell (Joe) of Chicora; her grandchildren, Taylor K. Stanton (James) of Kittanning, Alana Fulton (Ron) of Connellsville, Amanda Harbaugh (Matthew) of Rockwood, Erin Riveria (Josue) of Philadelphia, Gina Flanders of Ford City, Shaun Ion (Molly) of McCandless Twp and Jeremiah Ion (Hazy) of Zelienople; her great grandchildren, Cooper, Noah, Ava, Trevor and Landon; her siblings, Virgil R. Cousins (Sandra) of Karns City, Betty Jane Hutchison of Chicora, Carol Hutchison (David) of Chicora and Sherry Gibson (Robert "Bob") of Butler; her stepdaughter Nancy Johns; and her friend Debbie Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Karns City Church of God of Prophecy (1510 Kittanning Pike, Karns City, PA 16041). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Church of God of Prophecy Minister (1510 Kittanning Pike, Karns City, PA 16041).
