He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Swanson and Virginia Boyd Swanson; his parents-in-law, Daniel and Arlene 'Cubby' Bires; and his aunt Alice Bramer.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Bires; his sons, Dan Swanson (Tina) of Ludlow and Ben Swanson (Trisha) of Kane; his grandchildren, Joshua Swanson, Evan Swanson, Soren Swanson and Kylie Swanson; and his sister Candace Lambka (Jim) of Wetmore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
