He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis L. Gerhart and Sarah Heasley Gerhart Sr.; and his siblings, Louis, Milton, Thomas, Frank, Robert, John, Jane Reed, Gloria Swanson and Martha Kwiatowski.
He is survived by: his wife Donna (Dunkle); his daughters, Lori A. Trunzo of Pittsburgh, PA and Lisa M. McCord (Alan) of Hollsopple, PA; his grandchildren, Laurel (Pierotti) of Pittsburgh, Dylan Hyman of Pittsburgh, Kaleb Pierotti of Pittsburgh, Kyle Pierotti of Pittsburgh and Kieran Pierotti of Pittsburgh; his daughters, Kristen McCord and Amber McCord of Hollsopple, PA; and his sister Pearl "Sissy" Benson of Kane. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests donations be made in honor of Manny's memory to either the First United Methodist Church of Kane or the Kane Volunteer Fire Department.
