He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward McDowell and Marian Carlson McDowell; and his brother Arthur McDowell. He is survived by: his wife Anna Sivak; his daughter Kathy Anderson (Jay) of Kane; his granddaughter Lacey Myers (Zach) of Lantz Corners; his great grandchild Rylee Myers; and his sister Barbara Hood Morris of Portersville. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
