We bid farewell to Clare R. Sturkie in Kane, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 1, 2024 at the age of 85. Clare touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Kubensky and Stefania Kubensky (Hirosky); her husband William E. Sturkie; and her siblings, Helen Cruz, Steffy Lipa, Ann Filarsky, Mary Bell, John, Joseph and Andrew Kubensky.
She is survived by: her children, Christine L. Richards of Versailles, Billy Sturkie, Jr. of Versailles, Lorie Broadwater (David) of West Mifflin and Jessica Lorenz (Jason) of Versailles; her grandchildren, Tina Simko, Amy Shank, Lacey John, Amanda Miller, Tadem Lorenz and Tierney Lorenz; and her great grandchildren, Jason, Nicholas Shank, Kadence, Dalton Simko, Abigail, Sophia John, Layla Lofstrom, Aden, Landon Kozak and Ella Elms. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory (4504 Walnut St, McKeesport, PA 15132). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (310 32nd St, McKeesport, PA 15132).
