He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer C. Royer and Alice E Rossey Royer; and his siblings, Norma Hoffman, Roy, Cecil, Wayne and Art Royer.

He is survived by: his wife Rosa Marie Persico; his daughter Tina Biel (Jeff); his stepchildren, Lucian Drost, Patricia Golden (Jack), Bradford, Joanne Proesl (Joseph), Kane and Daniel Drost (Criss); his grandchildren, Skylar Biel, Sailor Biel, Danielle Sporer (Joseph), Jenna Golden Bresnehan (Eric), Jackie Vecchiarella (Carmen), Kristi Proesl (Andy), Conner L Drost, Ryan Drost and John Golden (Marissa); his great grandchildren, Gage Mullin, Jacob Bresnehan and Jude Golden; and his siblings, Lucy Paul, Barb Skerl, Connie Bouch and Ron Royer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
