Juanita Lee Brant Obituary
Juanita Lee Brant, 82, of Julian, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2023, at the Colonial Courtyard in Tyrone, PA. Born on October 24, 1940, in Pender City, NC, she was the daughter of the late Randall & Lucille (Norris) Bain, Sr. On May 27, 1961, in Gray PA, she married the love of her life, James E. Brant. James passed away on October 16, 2017.
Juanita was a 1958 graduate of Dublin High School and attended a business school. She was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of the Mt. Laurel United Church Christ Church and the Bald Eagle Baptist Church.
Juanita and James traveled in their younger years, especially heading west. She enjoyed hunting, being outdoors, and picking berries at Black Moshannon. She was an excellent cook and loved taking care of her family. She would spend a lot of time sitting on the front porch, watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren playing in the yard.
Juanita is survived by two sons, Arthur Brant and his wife, Tammy, of Julian, James Brant and his wife, Shari, of Sandy Ridge, and Melissa Brant Lee and her husband, Avery, of Julian; seven grandchildren: Brett Brant, Donovan Brant, Kyle Brant, Nicole Owens, Terra Rene' Haines, Brittany Brant, and Joshua Brant, and 14 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her three brothers: Jerry Bain, Willie Bain, Johnny Bain; four sisters: Mary Watson, Frannie Penny, Betty Roberts, and Darlene Moore all of North Carolina.
Along with her parents and husband, Juanita was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirlene Rene' Beranty; four brothers, Bobby Bain, Jimmy Bain, Walter Bain, and Randall Bain, Jr and three sisters: Lida Pearl Bain, Alma Davis, and Janie O'Mary.
Public visitation will be on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 5-7pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Milesburg. Graveside service will be on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 10:30am at the Beams Cemetery in Gray, PA with Rev. Dr. Joe Beer officiating.
Juanita's family would like to express their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Colonial Courtyard in Tyrone for the compassionate care they gave her. There are no words to express our thanks.
