Deborah J Barton Obituary

Deborah J. "Deb" Barton, 69, of Julian, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center. Born on September 2, 1954, in Julian, she was the daughter of the late George and Kathryn (Hogencamp) Barton.

Deb attended Bald Eagle Area High School. She was a Care Giver for Care for People for many years. Before that, she worked for various home health care agencies in the area. She was of the Christian Faith.

Deb enjoyed flower gardens, lighthouses, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a very good baker and loved to cook, especially Thanksgiving dinner. She was a compassionate person and that showed in the loving care she gave people. She would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. She was supportive of her grandchildren. Her dream was to own a log home, so she would often sketch her dream home with different interior layouts.

Deb is survived by her son, Grant Holderman; daughter, Deb Tate; brother, Larry Barton and his wife, Kathy; and sister, Connie Barton. She raised three grandchildren as her own children: Deidra L. Blow of Evansville, IN, Christopher Barton of Snow Shoe, and Pilar Richards of Warriors Mark. She is also survived by numerous other grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Deb was preceded in death by one brother, Rick Barton.

Following Deb's wishes, all services will be private.
