Harvey Williams Obituary
On May 16, 1923, Bro. Harvey Williams was one of thirteen children born to John and Caline Williams in Valley Park, Mississippi. Bro. Williams accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour at an early age at New Hope Missionary Baptist under the leadership of Rev. S.T. Gaston. He was preceded in death by his parents;a son; two brothers, and seven sisters.
He was educated at New Hope Church School at Rudyard Junction in Jonestown. He continued his education at Swan Lake School on Highway 61. During his life he worked as a farmer for Kirk Haynes. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #599. He was devoted to whatever he decided to do. He departed this earthly life to go to be with his heavenly father on March 16, 2012 at his home in Jonestown, Mississippi.
He leaves to cherish his memories and remember his life, his wife, Evelena Williams, three sons, John Lee (Karen) Williams, and Bernard Mitchell of Chicago, Ill and Charles (Veatter) Williams of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three loving sisters, Doris Pitts and Jesse Mays (Charlie) both of Jonestown, MS, and Ola Mae Hill of Indianapolis, IN; twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren, ten step-children, thirty-nine stepchildren, sixty-three step-great grand children, six step-great great grandchildren, one son-in-law, John Lee Williams, four special friends, Rev. and Sis. Hill, Henry and Vivian Smart, special cousin, Bernice Miller, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
