She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Varmecky and Mary Varmecky (Sabol); and her brother Stephen Jr. (Joseph A. Esposito). She is survived by: her husband Joseph Esposito; her daughters, Mary Jo Kulyk (Rodney) of Cary, NC, Debbie Icardi of Apex, NC and Diane Shoup (Wayne) of Johnstown, PA.; her grandchildren, Jeremy Jaber (Christian), RJ Kulyk, Justin Kulyk, Erica Jaber Goff, Lauren Laukaitis (John), Garrett Shoup and Kelly Laverty (Charles); and her great grandchildren, Quinn, Lena, Cash Goff, Nicholas Bubernak, Maxwell Jaber, Brynn, Avery, Kendall, Caleb Laverty, Benjamin and Riley Laukaitis.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (120 Barron Ave, Johnstown, PA 15906). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or the charity of your choice in Verna's memory.
