With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley J. Kuyat of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 28, 2025 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley J. Kuyat to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Pecsenye and Mary Ellen Pecsenye (Dishong); her husband Atty; and her brother Dwight Pecsenye. She is survived by: her children, Jeanne Myers (Barry), Judith Santoliquido (Geoffrey) and Craig E. Kuyat; and her granddaughters, Sara Baird (Matt), Katie Pfrommer (Joey), Nicole Allison (Robert) and Stephanie Holby (Taylor). She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary (921 Menoher Blvd, Johnstown, PA 15905). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to either Zion Lutheran Church or Arbutus Park Retirement Community.
