Shirley Jean Strachan Obituary

We bid farewell to Shirley Jean Strachan of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 8, 2025 at the age of 89. Shirley Jean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Miller and Alda Miller (Hyatt) of Meyersdale, PA.; her husband Bill; and her sister Janet Heiss. She is survived by: her children, Robin Strachan, Susan LaLima (John), John Strachan (Tina Burgess) and Jenny Allen (Ed); her grandchildren, Lauren Fritts (Tim), Liz Kirkpatrick (Ryan), Emily Fabick (Simon Yeung), Devon Strachan, Trevor Strachan and Chelsey Allen (Mel Rosario); and her great grandchildren, Caroline, William Fritts, Maggie and Tommy Kirkpatrick.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Second Presbyterian Church (565 Park Ave, Johnstown, PA 15902). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Laurel View Village Caring Fund or Second Presbyterian Church.
