She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Penrod and Helen Penrod (Felix); her stepmother Beverly Penrod (Sowerbrower); her siblings, Roger, Calvin, David, Thomas N. Penrod and Linda Snyder; her grandson Alfred Dee Peterson III; and her son-in-law Garry Hinton Sr..
She is survived by: her children, Lynette Peterson-Hinton, Sandra Peterson-Williamson (Tim), JoAnn Peterson-Herdman and Alfred D. Peterson Jr. (Missy); her brothers, Kenneth (Becky), Dwayne Kim (Kay) and W. James Penrod (Nat); and her stepbrother Charles Sowerbrower (Sue). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
