In the sacred silence of farewell, Sara is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Shahade and Elizabeth Shahade (Heider); her siblings, Robert (Ruth Jabbour), Theodore Shahade (Virginia), Mary Alvanette Kennan (Frederick) and Genevieve Milkie (George); and her sister-in-law Nancy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church (111 Alberta Ave, Johnstown, PA 15905). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at the Grandview Cemetery (801 Millcreek Rd, Johnstown, PA 15905).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary.
