He was predeceased by: his parents, William Washabaugh and Jennie Washabaugh (Lonsinger); his wife Linda Washabaugh; his daughters, Yvonne Palmer and Donna Washabaugh; his siblings, Donald, Robert, William, Ronald Washabaugh and Genevieve Wills; and his siblings-in-law, Edgar R. Lamison, Edward Wills, George Lester, Earl McDannell, Charles Kist and Shirley Barton.

He is survived by: his children, Johnette Owens (Scott), Angela McLeod, Wesley Washabaugh (Natasha), Dean Washabaugh (Lori) and Shawn Washabaugh; his siblings, Dennis Washabaugh (Donna), Janet Lamison, Patricia Lester, Nancy McDannell, Karen Feathers (John) and Virginia Kist; and his close friend Jack Murray. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.

“Dick used to work for my Dad's company Platt Cleaning Service Back in the early to mid 1980's. We were living in Westmont at the time and Dick was living in Richland. I was in high school at the time I met him and I thought he was very polite and was a good worker and a good guy.”
