“Monsignor Balta hired me to teach kindergarten at St. John Byzantine in Uniontown in 1976. We began a lifelong friendship sharing laughter and tears along the way. Our sons often asked about him when they visited home from college and henceforth. He touched our lives in ways that I cherish to this day. He was a special man and friend, not just a priest. May God grant him eternal rest… My sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. Julianne Peperak”
