She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Tarsovich and Mary Tarsovich (Rusin); her former husband George W. Spishak; her husband John B. Varner; her son James G. Spishak; her siblings, Lillian Brutz, Helen Golub, Jenny Leck, Sophie Regula, Mary Kollar, Phillip and Joseph Tarsovich; and her son-in-law John Stephans.
She is survived by: her children, Georgette Stephans and Carl Spishak (Janet); her grandchildren, John Stephans and Ryan Spishak (Krista); her daughter Hope (Luke Spishak); and her brother James Tars (Lin).
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the F. G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc. (710 Broad St, Johnstown, PA 15906). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Gaulbert Cathedral (117 Clinton St, Johnstown, PA 15901).
