As Joseph departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Joseph. Though Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Licastro and Grazia Licastro (Squillace); his wife Mary Jane Licastro; and his brother Pasquale Licastro. He is survived by: his children, Peter Licastro (Laureen) of Sewickley and Maria Leiden (James) of Johnstown; his grandchildren, David Leiden and Nicole Leiden; and his brother Ralph Licastro (Laura Reidy) of State College. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel (1622 Menoher Blvd, Johnstown, PA 15905). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church (415 Tioga St, Johnstown, PA 15905).
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 415 Tioga Street. in memory of Joseph J. Licastro.
