It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R. Hoover (Johnstown, Pennsylvania), who passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Ellen and Mary Ellen (Barkhymer); his wife Phyllis A. Hoover (Hritz); and his sister Jean Hoover Humphreys-Durham. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Gilkey (Edward) of Johnstown, Pamela Prohonic (Thomas) of Johnstown and Brian (Lori) of New Jersey; his grandchildren, Lara, Thomas Jr. (Christine), Bradley Prohonic (Katie), Amy Gilkey Struzinski (Matthew), Olivia and Alexandra Hoover; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Maverick, Lorelei, Josephine, Emilia and Lily Prohonic. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
