She was predeceased by: her parents, John Salata and Anna Salata (Yanko); her husband James A. Sr.; her daughter Janet Alvarez; and her grandson Alexander Lehman.
She is survived by: her children, James Jr. (Gloria Shawley) of Johnstown, Carol Bell (Al Eash) of Johnstown, Thomas (Georgia Samo) of Johnstown and Richard P. (Marg Mihalik) of Johnstown; her brother George Salata; and her close friend Tillie Yanchez. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church or a charity of choice.
