He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sedlmyer and Angie Sedlmyer (Clancy); his wife Charlotte L. Sedlmyer; and his daughter Lorraine Sedlymer. He is survived by: his sons, Vince Sedlmyer (Lorie) and Edward Sedlmyer (Tobrena); and his grandchildren, Benjamin Sedlmyer, Isaac Sedlmyer, Travis Lawrence, Tyler Lawrence, Robert Sedlmyer and Nickalus Sedlmyer.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hindman Funeral Home (1521 Frankstown Rd, Johnstown, PA 15902). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Barnabas Catholic Church (408 Luzon Ave, Johnstown, PA 15902).
