He was predeceased by: his parents, Anastady Herbert and Julia Herbert (Balitsky); his son Andrew Herbert; his wife Margaret "Peggy" Herbert (Buckman); and his siblings, Joseph, Frank Herbert, Anna Czyrnik, Angeline Geisler, Josephine Edmiston and Verna Furnari.
He is survived by: his children, George Herbert II, Janet Russell, Richard Herbert (Lori) and Monica Micik (Donald); his daughter-in-law Debbie Herbert; his grandchildren, George III (Beth), Anna Mentzer (Tyler), Katie Holliday (Zeb), Ali Russell, Garrett Herbert (Bri), Amber Basta (Nabil), Beau Herbert, Kyle Micik (Abbie), Alyssa Micik and Andrew Herbert II (Maggie); and his great grandchildren, George Herbert IV, Sarina, Aleigha, Ben, Kenna, Cora, Brianna, Peyton, Carson, Jackson, Quinn and Sawyer.
In lieu of flowers, donations are to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of George Herbert Sr. Arrangements by Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc.
