He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincenzo "Jim" and Adeline; and his siblings, James, Rose Marie Grumley and Florence King.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen M. "Kay" Hocking; his children, Jim Scida (Christina) of Johnsonburg, Rick Scida (Lynn) of Johnsonburg, Tom Scida (Luck) of Johnsonburg and Ann Scida of Kansas City, MO.; and his grandchildren, Amy Wesley (Dale), Joe Scida (Meia), Elise Scida (Tom Grossa), Noah Scida, Philip Scida (Lexi), Becky Swentosky (Dominic), Elaine Scida, Colleen Oknefski, Travis Scida (Dani) and Taylor Jacob (Joe). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
