He was predeceased by : his parents, Percy Pennington and Pearl Pennington (Nortum); his children, John Pennington and Sandra Jo Pennington; and his siblings, William, Thomas, Norman "Sonny", Edith, Nancy, Peggy and Carol.
He is survived by : his wife Ruthie (Hanson); and his children, James E. Pennington, Jr. (Robin) of Ridgway and Julie A. Pennington of St. Mary's. He is also survived by two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
