She was predeceased by: her daughter Cheryl Zubieta; her husbands, Samuel J. Carrera and Richard J. Pistner; her sisters, Jean Warner and Paula Stewart; and her stepdaughter Jean Welsh.

She is survived by: her parents, Paul Nelson-Stewart and Ann Nelson-Stewart; her children, Darla and Joseph Carrera (Debby) of Leesburg, Florida; her grandchildren, David Jacobs (Tamy), Gwen (Jeff Wolfe), Jason Zubiet and Aimee (Evan Fowler); her great grandchildren, Zachary Wolfe (Brittney), Tiffany Wolfe, Samantha Jacobs, Dominic Jacobs, Easton Fowler and Sydnee Fowler; and her stepchildren, Lawrence Pistner (Barbara) of Johnsonburg, Sharon, Davison of Ridgway, Brandy, Mark Copelli of Ridgway and Christine Woodford of Ridgway. She is also survived by 14 step-grandchildren and 16 step-great-grandchildren.
