He was predeceased by: his mother Janis Schmidt. He is survived by: his father Frederick B. "Bert" Reis, Sr. of Medix Run; his wife Candy A. (Bentert); his children, Ericka Evans (Joe) of Waynesburg, OH, Megan Reis (Amanda Joseph) of Kent, OH and Alexandra Ferut (Brodie) of Sykesville, PA; and his siblings, John Reis of Illinois, Robert Reis of Michigan and Karen Argyle (Jimmi) of Florida. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
