Alice L. Steis Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 30, 2023, at the age of 96, Alice L. Steis of Johnsonburg, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Nielson and Margaret Nielson; her siblings, Dorothy, Jean, Walter, Robert and Donald Neilson; and her grandchildren, Abby Horchen and Ryan Steis.

She is survived by: her husband Harry Steis (Hal); and her children, Janet Fiele (Ron), Sharon Herzing (Michael), Laura Horchen (James), Dr. Ronald Steis (Angela) and Roger Steis (Doreen). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

She also shopped for Elk Haven residents until Covid and as she put it " I enjoyed shopping for the old people.".
