He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Verduce; his parents, Francesco Scassellati and Angelina Angeli Scassellati; his son Robert R. Scassellati Jr.; and his siblings, Richard, John, Julius "Jay" Scassellati, Antoinette Frontani, Mary Giombetti and Ida Minicozzi.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Muchal (Bill) and Rella Scassellati; his granddaughter Dina Dore (Jon); his daughter Maria Muchal Berta (Jon); his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Alaina; and his daughter-in-law Donna Scassellati. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
