He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Skovira and Mary Gavenda Skovira; his siblings, Mary Teter, John, Joseph, Leonard, Cyril, Bernard, Loretta Krieger and Ann McGuirk; and his sister-in-law Stella Skovira. He was also cherished by 12 children.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to, http://www.strongpointtheinert.org, a foundation that supports soldiers and their families and was established in memory of Mike's great nephew, 1LT Joseph J. Theinert, who was killed in action in Afghanistan.
