It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen A. Hanyon of Jessup, Pennsylvania, born in Peckville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 5, 2022, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley N. Sislo and Mary T. Szpara Sislo; her sister Geraldine Sislo; her great-niece Serena Fabri; and her friend Joann Carter.

She is survived by: her sons, Dr. Jason Hanyon (Alison) and Atty; her grandchildren, Tyler, Max, Alex, Anthony, Sophia and Isabella; and her sisters, Dolores Fabri (Richard) and Linda Fagnani (Bernard). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Valley Community Library, 739 River St., Peckville, PA 18452.
